New overhead scanner available in Carpenter Library

Posted June 3rd, 2013 at 4:18 pm.

The Visual Resources Center in Carpenter Library has a brand new, state-of-the-art, high resolution overhead scanner. Anyone can use it—all you need is a USB memory drive. You can save images as multi-page pdfs, tiffs, or jpegs.  It’s great for scanning books and journals… and, best of all, it removes your fingers from the image automatically.

The scanner is available whenever the library is open.  Carpenter Library hours can be found on the IS Hours page.

Stay tuned for more from Special Collections on how they will be using the scanner to add to Bryn Mawr’s unique Digital Collections.
