This spring, Information Services will be upgrading Moodle from version 1.9 to 2.5.
The upgraded version of Moodle, located at moodlenew.brynmawr.edu, will become moodle.brynmawr.edu on Monday, May 19th. All of the content added since the April 15th launch date will remain on this site. This transition will occur on Monday from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Both sites will be temporarily unavailable during this time.
Course materials through the 2013-2014 academic year currently on moodle.brynmawr.edu will remain available during the 2014-2015 academic year and will be accessible at moodlearchive.brynmawr.edu. Please note that it may take a few days before moodlearchive.brynmawr.edu fully propagates across the web.
Some exciting new features of Moodle 2.5:
- Drag-and-drop files: Upload folders to the main course and easily drag and drop files into them
- Filter course list on the “My Courses” page
- Activities and Resources are now under one unified “Add an activity or resource” button to make things easier

Training workshops will be held the first week of May and again at the end of August. Individual appointments also can be scheduled to answer any questions you have about the new version and to receive help in transferring course material from Moodle 1.9 to Moodle 2.5.
