Tech Talk: Medieval Nuns on WordPress – Reanimating a Bryn Mawr Manuscript

March 8, 2016 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Quita Woodward Room, Thomas Hall. Visit the event page to register.

As a graduate assistant in Special Collections, Nava Streiter built a website to present a medieval manuscript that contains prayers and music for a series of Christian processional services. The site animates the book and makes it accessible to students of manuscript studies, medieval studies, and musicology. In this Tech Talk, Nava will address issues of presenting a medieval object in a digital context, and she will discuss the joys and challenges of creating this site. Calla Carter, a current Bryn Mawr undergraduate computer science major who worked on developing the site, also will join the discussion.
