LITS Launches Office 365 Learning Opportunities!

In late May 2016, the Bryn Mawr College community will begin using Office 365 as the new email and calendar platform. We know this is a big change, and we’re pleased to offer a rich program of learning opportunities that will help ease your transition and help you become familiar with some of the new and exciting supported features of Office 365.

We think there’s something for everyone. Pick up an Office 365 Learning Opportunities Brochure at any LITS service desk or in your department office, or visit our Office 365 Tech Doc to get started!

More learning opportunities will be scheduled for fall 2016.

Demos: April – May

Curious about what your new email and calendar will look like? Leaving campus for the summer and want a preview before our late May launch? Join us for a live demo of Office 365. We’ll address common tasks and new features, with time for Q&A, in 30 minutes or less!

Classes: May – September

Classes are a great opportunity for hands-on learning using your own Office 365 account. All classes are taught by LITS staff. In-person sessions are held in Canaday 315 unless otherwise noted, and online sessions are delivered live via Adobe Connect. Advance registration is required.

Small Group Consultations: June–September

Need help translating a specific business process from Zimbra to Office 365? Looking for an opportunity to improve a workflow using newly available features? LITS staff are available to consult with small groups to discuss how Office 365 may meet your needs. Consultations are recommended for departments or work groups who currently use briefcase, shared mailboxes and calendars, contact groups, or other advanced features.

Self-Paced Resources: Anytime!

Like learning at your own pace and finding answers when you need them? We’ve gathered a great set of resources produced and/or recommended by LITS. As launch approaches, prepare yourself with video demos, how-to guides, and documentation. As your knowledge of and experience with Office 365 grows, return for fresh ideas, tips and tricks, and multimedia training materials.

Physical Quick Start Guides for the Office 365 Outlook Web App and OneDrive for Business will be available at classes or for pick up at the Help Desk after the transition.
