LITS Recommends OWA for Mobile Email & Calendar

Posted August 23rd, 2016 at 3:16 pm.

Many of us access our email and calendar from our phones just as often as we do from our computers. Until now we’ve advised using your device’s native sync but, after additional testing and experience, we now recommend using the Outlook Web App (OWA).

The OWA is Microsoft’s first-party application for mobile email and calendar within Office 365. If you already use your device’s native sync you don’t need to disable it, but OWA will provide an improved experience, particularly for those relying on mobile calendar access.

You can download the OWA from your device’s app store for free, and setting it up is as simple as entering your College email address and password.
