File Action Day is here!

The Information Stewardship Council (ISC) is sponsoring File Action Day from 10am until noon Tuesday, July 18, 2017. During that time, please focus on sifting through your e-mail and/or shared drives to identify attachments, content, or records that contain sensitive data. Delete what you no longer need and make sure to properly store what you must keep. If your mailboxes and shared drives are in great shape, use the scheduled time to focus on your desktop, other drives, or paper files that contain sensitive data.

Be Proactive and Protective!

The ISC asks faculty, staff and students to participate in File Action Day because truly effective cybersecurity relies on the vigilance of each person with a BMC e-mail account. It takes only seconds for a data breach to occur if login credentials are stolen or given away through a phishing scam. Remember, no reputable person or organization will ever ask you to provide your password credentials, especially via email. Please keep your College credentials private to protect your identity and the security of the College network, and please keep sensitive data stored according to College policies and guidelines.

Thank you for your participation.
