Forms in Office 365

Posted August 11th, 2017 at 9:41 am.

Forms is one of the new apps available in Office 365 after August 15. Forms makes it possible to create online forms, similar to those created in tools like Google Forms, SurveyMonkey, or Wufoo.

Web Services provides support to community members using Forms, though we expect Wufoo to remain the recommended solution for most forms on the College website.

As with most tools, Office 365 Forms is not appropriate for all data. For example:

  • Office 365 Forms may be useful for: cases where access should be limited to authenticated Bryn Mawr Office 365 users. Discuss such needs with Web Services.
  • Office 365 forms should NOT be used for: Human subjects research or the collection of payments. If you need to collect other types of sensitive information, contact us for help determining a suitable data collection and handling method. See the Data Handling Policy for details.

A note about online form solutions:

Several form services are in use and supported across campus. LITS can help with:

  • Wufoo (used for most online forms)
  • Formsite (used for forms that collect payments)
  • Office 365 Forms

The Office of Institutional Research, Planning, and Assessment supports Qualtrics.
