Office 365 Dial-In Conferencing (Skype for Business)

Posted October 3rd, 2017 at 4:04 pm.

In order to expand our capabilities with Skype for Business (part of Office 365), we will be adding dial in conferencing capability for all faculty and staff members.  This means that when you set a Skype for Business meeting (or add a Skype meeting to an existing calendar entry), invitees will now see phone numbers which will allow them to connect to the audio portion of the meeting by phone.

In the next week or so, all faculty and staff will receive an email like the one pictured below.  This is legitimate, though no action is required on your part.  Please note that LITS is offering this service in anticipation of future support of audio/video conference functionality; at this time we are not yet offering assistance with this service.  You are free to use Skype for Business (different from consumer Skype!) and all associated features on your own if you would like to get started sooner.
