Help Make Bryn Mawr’s Makerspace! 2/22 4pm

Bryn Mawr College is planning to open a makerspace in the fall of 2018 in the newly renovated Park Science Building.

Join us Thursday, February 22 at 4pm in Park 243 to discover and discuss the many transformative ways the space could impact teaching, learning, and research at Bryn Mawr!

No previous experience or knowledge of makerspaces is required. Swarthmore and Haverford colleagues will share and answer questions about their experiences with their own makerspaces, and students from Bryn Mawr’s Engineering Club will present and answer questions about the way making activities have become core to their educational experience.

This event will kick off a semester long discovery process to inform the development and composition of Bryn Mawr’s makerspace. We want to hear your ideas!

RSVP to Rich Willard (rwillard@brynmawr.edu), Director of Science Services, Machine and Instrument Shop, or David Consiglio, Director of Assessment and Learning Spaces (dconsiglio@brynmawr.edu). If you can’t make it but are interested in learning more, let us know – we would love to hear from you.
