End of Support for 32-Bit Applications in macOS Catalina (10.15)

Posted September 25th, 2019 at 2:29 pm.

macOS Catalina (10.15) is scheduled for general release in October. If you choose to update to or purchase a Mac computer that ships with macOS Catalina, please be sure to check if you are using any 32-bit applications on your computer or in your labs. In macOS Catalina 32-bit applications are no longer supported; this means that the applications will no longer run properly after you update your Mac to macOS Catalina or purchase a Mac that ships with macOS Catalina if you do not first update your 32-bit applications to the 64-bit versions (if the versions are available).
