Resolved: Problems Calling Campus Phones from Off-Campus

The College’s phone service provider reports that this issue is resolved. This problem was caused by a significant network failure between their New York and Philadelphia sites. Please contact the Help Desk if you continue to experience problems reaching on-campus extensions from off-campus numbers.

People calling Bryn Mawr College from off-campus numbers are having problems reaching on-campus extensions. In some cases the caller gets a false busy signal and/or error message.

We believe this could be a problem external to Bryn Mawr, but are investigating with our phone service provider and phone system vendor. We will post updates as more information becomes available.

Internal, on-campus calling is unaffected.
