Are you traveling to Istanbul or Sao Paolo next semester?  Do you need a crash course in Farsi, Italian, or Croatian?  Or are you a non-native English speaker who would like some help with English?  The BMC Library can help!

mangoWe now offer a campus-wide subscription to Mango Languages, the online language-learning program that quickly teaches basic conversational skills for 37 foreign languages*!  Mango also offers English language courses that are customized to native speakers of Spanish, French, Russian, Mandarin, Cantonese, and ten other languages.

Mango’s methodology incorporates the four essential components of learning a language: vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and culture.  Its engaging interface and interactive tools make learning fun, and help with comprehension and retention.  Click here to learn more about Mango’s methodology.

You can access Mango Languages from the library’s home page: simply type Mango Languages into the Tripod search box, and follow the link.  You’ll want to create a personalized account on Mango so that you can track your progress through each language.

BMC students, staff, and faculty can use Mango on campus, or from other locations after logging in to the library’s Off Campus Access system [click the link in the left-hand navigation menu].
