LITS Welcomes New Community Members!

Library & Information Technology Services (LITS) is delighted to participate in a wide variety of events designed to orient new community members to Bryn Mawr! Check back for details as they become available.

Tuesday, August 25, 2015

At 2:00 p.m. Educational Technologists will meet with new faculty to demonstrate classroom technologies and Moodle, and to schedule more in-depth one-on-one or small group sessions as needed.

Wednesday, August 26, 2015

From 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Campus Center, we’ll be available to help new community members register and/or connect their devices to the Bryn Mawr network.  We’ll also be showing off our new subscription to Lynda.com!

At 1:00 p.m. members of our Educational Technology and Research and Instructional Services teams will join new faculty for a session focusing on ways to partner with LITS around teaching, learning and research.

At 1:45 p.m., LITS staff members will meet with new students in the Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research and the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.

10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. LITS staff join Academic Honor Code sessions in the McPherson Teaching Theater, Goodhart Hall.

Friday, August 28, 2015

At 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., CIO and Director of Libraries Gina Siesing will welcome new students with a brief overview of Library & Information Technology Services at Bryn Mawr. Students may then choose from five focused sessions including tours of the three libraries and Special Collections, and a workshop on Making the Most of Bryn Mawr’s Free Library Resources.
