Friday Finds 12/4, 3:30pm in the Special Collections Seminar Room

We’ll pull out a selection of historical board games, card games, and books on games from Special Collections. There will be a short introduction to the games by staff, time for questions, and ample time to look at and handle some of the items.

Gaming Industry Panel Discussion 12/5, 11am in Carpenter B21

Discuss the steps in making a game from design to production and professional and amateur paths into and out of the industry. Panelists include: Ron Magin of Mayfair Games, Nicole Kline and Anthony Amato of Cardboard Fortress Games, and Jennifer Spohrer of Bryn Mawr College.

Take a break and play a game! 12/5, 9-11am and 1-5pm in the Special Collections Seminar Room, Canaday 2nd Floor

We’ll have reproductions of historical games from the collections and modern, European-style games for us all to play. If you have a favorite game that you’d like to teach, bring it along. We’d love to learn!
