It can be difficult to find time for personal and professional enrichment outside of your daily shuffle. Wouldn’t it be nice if there were an afternoon dedicated to your development, featuring short, targeted sessions that focus on meaningful, relevant topics for staff? Well, you’re in luck!

All BMC Staff are warmly invited to the 3rd Annual Staff In-Service Day!

This year’s event will feature 24 unique sessions taught by your talented colleagues on topics including public speaking, customer service, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, conflict resolution, library benefits for staff, and so much more. There will be something for everyone! See the attached program at the bottom of this post for the full schedule and session descriptions.

Come for one session or as many as you like; get inspired by your own skills and those of your colleagues as we share in a day of professional development and camaraderie. All attendees will receive a gift, and light refreshments will be served.

Release time will be granted for all staff who attend (with supervisor permission). Supervisors are encouraged to permit their staff to attend, and to come themselves!

Notes on sessions:

  • All sessions will either be 20 or 35 minutes with the exception of Resolving Conflict — Within and Between (75 minutes)
  • Most sessions are offered more than once

Special Activity: Scavenger Hunt (1-4 PM), lower level of Dalton
