Back in May, we launched Office 365 for email, calendar, collaboration and more. Over the summer we’ve been reaching out with tips, making documentation (enhanced with multimedia anywhere you see the LITSVideos tag), and hosting classes (don’t worry, there are more scheduled for fall.)  Stay tuned for a new Spotlight Series especially for students and faculty beginning 9/12!

To book an appointment with a Research & Instruction librarian, email, or use our new online scheduling tool – just click “make an appointment” on the library homepage. Students can also get walk-in research help in any of the libraries Monday-Friday!

Students in Special Collections spent the summer unboxing, cleaning, sorting and inventorying children’s and young adult books collected and donated to the College by Ellery Yale Wood ’52. For more about this fascinating collection, read students’ in-depth accounts of their favorite discoveries from forgotten authors and instructive texts to troubling iconography and delightful illustrations.

Network Upgrades – Outdoors and more!

We’ve been busy behind-the-scenes, too. Over the summer we upgraded the wireless network in several dorms and added a lot more outdoor coverage.

Office 2016 is available for both the Mac and Windows, and it provides a major improvement on both platforms as well as a more unified interface. Windows 10, Microsoft’s new operating system is also available and has been added to all classroom and lab computers. New & Improved InterLibrary Loan

We launched a new InterLibrary Loan service, ILLiad, that allows you to request books and articles from outside libraries as usual, with the added ability to check the status of your requests and download the full text of each article you’ve received in the past 30 days.

TriCollege Libraries logoTripod Redesign: Improved functionality, fresh look & feel

The Tri-College Libraries partnered with a local design firm to redesign Tripod, the first in a series of projects to align all Tri-Co web applications under a unified design strategy. You’ll notice changes to Tripod’s logo, color scheme, header, typography, and home page content.
