The LITS Service Catalog: A new way to discover & access services!

Posted September 26th, 2016 at 8:00 am.

ServiceCatalogDo you like to get the lay of the land before embarking on a new project? Curious about ways you can partner with LITS? Need help with something library or information technology-related but not sure where to begin? Start at the new LITS Service Catalog!

From in-depth consultations to break/fix issues to self-service options, the LITS Service Catalog collects our most frequently requested and broadly used services into a set of easy-to-navigate categories designed with your needs in mind. You don’t need to know how we organize ourselves to reach out with confidence.

You’ll find the Service Catalog linked from LITS websites as well as the LITS and Tech Documentation blogs. It’s publicly visible and searchable, but most services will require you to sign in using your Bryn Mawr College credentials to place a request.  Once logged in, you’ll see a section for Ticket Requests and Project Requests.  Use Ticket Requests to review any Help requests you’ve submitted. Project Requests will show you any LITS Project Proposals you have in-process.

We welcome your feedback! Community members can suggest a revision at any time. When viewing the Service Catalog main page, simply scroll down down and look for the Service Catalog Feedback link.

Please note that while we’ve made every effort to fully represent our most frequently requested and broadly used services, the LITS Service Catalog is a work in progress! We will be adjusting service descriptions as needed, and reviewing the catalog’s organization and completeness on a regular schedule.  The Service Catalog is one part of a larger effort to make it even easier to connect with LITS. Over the next year, you’ll see revisions to LITS websites as we we shift information about our service offerings to the Service Catalog as a canonical information source and request mechanism.

Don’t worry – you can still reach us by all the methods to which you’re accustomed. Call 610-526-7440, email or, or stop by!
