Educational Technology Services in LITS is offering two different types of paid internships for Bryn Mawr students this summer. Apply by 3/13!

Digital Curriculum interns assist Bryn Mawr faculty and staff with digital course materials and curricular development, gaining experience in areas such as project management and assessment, coding and web design, metadata management, audiovisual production, curricular design and working with clients. Great for students interested in education, instructional design, library and information science, web design and production, or software development.

  • Requirements: Demonstrated interest, experience, or training at least one related technology area: web production, image editing (i.e. Photoshop or equivalent), video or audio production, screencasting, blogging, podcasting, data visualization and analysis, etc.

Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality Development interns research, test, and develop education-related 3D holographic assets and applications for the Microsoft HoloLens. Interns will work as a team on projects combining programming and 3D modeling skills. Summer VR/AR interns will gain experience in areas such as project management, software design and development, programming with Unity, design and development of holograms and other assets for virtual reality, working with professional developers, and participating effectively in a globally distributed team. The internships are an excellent opportunity for anyone considering a career in software development, computer science, education, instructional design, multimedia design and production, mathematics or any scientific field.

  • Requirements: demonstrated interest, experience, or training in either: 1) programming (Unity developing experience is highly desired, but not required), 2) Experience with 3D modeling tools (ex. SketchUp, AutoCAD, 3D Builder, Blender, Solidworks, ChemDraw) and/or 3) strong interest in higher education curricula and pedagogies and advanced research skills.
