Launching Domain of One’s Own
Much as Virginia Woolf believed a room of one’s own gave women the figurative and literal space necessary to become writers, a Domain of One’s Own can give 21st-century creators the digital space needed to experiment, develop digital competencies, and pursue digital scholarship and creative work. Host a website, digital research project, or e-portfolio using popular open source tools such as WordPress, Omeka, Scalar or MediaWiki! See the Domain of One’s Own service page more information about how to get started.
Emptying the New Book Drop
That’s right…the libraries have a BOOK DROP! Located to the right of Canaday’s front entrance next to the bike rack, this large-and-in-charge beauty welcomes returns for any Tri-College library. Please continue to return reserves, multimedia equipment, laptops, and recalled library materials to the circulation desk!
Opening Studio 313
Do you need a quiet space to record video or audio? Come visit Studio 313, the new Web Recording Studio we are piloting on the 3rd floor of Canaday Library! Visit the Circulation Desk on the 1st floor of Canaday and use your OneCard to check out a key or schedule an in-person orientation. Let us know what you think!
Listening to YOU!
We’re on tour and we want to hear from YOU! Katie Surkin and Melissa Cresswell are traveling around campus throughout summer and fall listening to your questions and concerns. In the summer months we focused on engaging with staff colleagues, and after the fall semester is underway we’ll be reaching out to faculty and students. Pick a time, name the place, and we’ll see you there!
