Starting this morning, community members are unable to login to some Bryn Mawr services, including EZBorrow, eMarket, Interfolio, Domain of One’s Own, and Parchment. LITS is working to diagnose and resolve these issues as quickly as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Issues Logging in to Duo-Protected Campus Services

Update, 1:15pm: Duo reports this issue is resolved and everyone should be able to use the service as usual. Please report any lingering issues to the Help Desk.


Starting earlier today, community members have reported trouble logging in to campus services that are Duo-protected. After typing in credentials, the Duo prompt screen either fails to load or loads very slowly. Some comunity members are getting a message that the service is busy. Additionally, the mobile push option is not working at all. If you get to the Duo prompts, you can authenticate via a passcode sent through a text message or phone call.

Scheduled Campus Center Network Downtime: March 8th – March 9th

In order to perform some necessary maintenance, the Campus Center will be without internet access beginning at 3pm on Wednesday, March 8th. The outage will last until all work is completed on Thursday, March 9th.

During this time, offices in the building may be operating on an adjusted schedule. Please check directly with those office for any changes to their hours or services.

TriCo Douglass Day 2023, featuring the papers of Mary Ann Shadd Cary: February 14th, 12-3pm

Every year, Douglass Day is held on February 14th by the Colored Conventions Project to celebrate the life of Fredrick Douglass. By collectively transcribing online collections of historical documents, attendees will make Black history and culture more accessible to the public.

This year’s Douglass Day celebration will be focused on the life of Mary Ann Shad Cary, a teacher, lawyer, abolitionist, and first black woman publisher in North America. This event will include transcription sessions through Zooniverse and live speeches and performances on the Douglass Day YouTube channel.

The BMC local Douglass Day event is organized by LITS and the Tri-Co Libraries with support from Sisterhood*. It will be held in Canaday 315 and remotely over Zoom from 12:00-3:00pm EST on February 14th, 2023.There will be refreshments, baked goods from Sweet T’s Bakery, and event swag. We recommend participants bring their own devices however you will also be able to use desktop computers. Parallel events will also be held at Haverford and Swarthmore for those who want to patriciate at either location.

Unscheduled System Maintenance TONIGHT: Tuesday, 11/22 at 6pm

Update, 6:25pm: All updates have been completed successfully and all systems can be logged in to. Please report any issues to the Help Desk.


Tonight at 6pm, LITS will be performing an urgent update to a number of our systems. During this update, logins to BIONIC, WordPress, ILLiad, and the Canon copiers will be unavailable. The update should last approximately 30 minutes.

RESOLVED: Network Unavailable in Brecon and Batten (Saturday, 10/8)

Both Brecon and Batten dormitories are currently without internet access. LITS is investigating the issue and will work to restore access as soon as we are able. We apologize for any inconvenience.

RESOLVED: Unable to Access Adobe Products

Update, 2:45pm: We’re very happy to report that Adobe has resolved the issue and that community members should again be able to access all of their usual Adobe products. Thank you so much for your patience while we worked through this situation.

If you continue to experience issues, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Help Desk.


This morning, when working with Adobe products, community members started receiving a message stating that “This feature is not included in your current Acrobat license”.

LITS staff have been working with our vendor since receiving the other notices last week and were assured that all of our licenses are in place. We are working with them again now and have indicated that this is a work-stopping issue. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and are working to resolve things as quickly as possible.

Messages about Adobe Apps Expiring

Starting today, community members may receive a message that their Adobe license has expired. We are currently working with our vendor to resolve this and to ensure that no one loses access.

In the meantime, all Adobe apps should still be functioning as normal. Please feel free to click “OK” on the error message if it pops up.
