RESOLVED: Tripod Currently Unavailable

Update, 10:39pm: We’ve heard from our vendor that all services have been restored. Community members should be able to log in to Tripod as normal.

This evening, the vendor that supports Tripod, our library catalog, is experiencing a major outage and Tripod is unavailable. During this outage, patrons will be unable to search for books or articles, access their patron records, or place holds. We don’t have an estimated time for when things will be back up and running, but we’re working to get things resolved as quickly as possible.

Resolved: Microsoft 365 Outage

Per Microsoft, 365 service has been restored to expected capacity. Please reach out to the Help Desk if you are still experiencing issues.

Microsoft is experiencing a nationwide outage of their 365 service. Users may see unexpected behavior such as emails failing to send, outside senders getting a notice of “undeliverable mail” when emailing @brynmawr.edu addresses, and general lagging with all 365 services. LITS will update when service is restored. VPN Maintenance TOMORROW, 1/17 8am – 10am

LITS will be performing an urgent upgrade to our VPN tomorrow morning from 8am -10am. This upgrade will address a security vulnerability. During this time, the VPN will be unavailable.

When you next log in to the VPN client, you may be prompted to update to a newer version of the client.

Urgent Wireless Security Update – 6am, Wednesday 1/14

LITS will be making urgent security updates to our campus wireless network starting at 6am tomorrow, January 14th.

Community members who are on campus may experience a 5-10 minute wireless outage. These outages will be on a rolling basis as each wireless access point is updated. Thank you for your patience as we complete this important work.

PeopleSoft HCM Unavailable January 4th, 8am – 10am

We will be performing routine maintenance on the PeopleSoft Human Capital Management system on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. During this time, access to paycheck and W-2 information may be temporarily unavailable.

We appreciate your patience while this maintenance is completed and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Normal access will be restored as soon as the work is finished.

LITS coordinates with divisions across the College to confirm our system maintenance schedule annually. Not all systems will necessarily be unavailable during these maintenance windows; however, you should assume that they will be and plan critical work around the system maintenance schedule. LITS implemented this practice in June 2015 to reduce overall system downtime, to improve the security and reliability of College systems and networks, and to maintain compliance with industry and vendor support requirements and best practices.

The PeopleSoft patch testing schedule is determined by our vendor and does not follow the system maintenance schedule.
