Resolved: Trouble Printing for Some Community Members

Update 5/3: The issue has been resolved and printing via “canon@brynmawr.edu” is enabled.


LITS is investigating an issue that is preventing print jobs from being released when people email “canon@brynmawr.edu”. Printing directly to Canons via an installed print queue is working normally for all College owned computers and personal PCs.

RESOLVED: Canon Printing Unavailable (May 2nd)

Starting this afternoon, community members have reported issues when printing to and scanning from Canon printers. LITS is currently investigating the issue and working on finding a resolution. We apologize for any inconvenience.

RESOLVED: Guild Hall Telephone Service Unavailable

Update, 12:50pm: The equipment has been replaced and all phones should be working normally. Please report any lingering issues to the Help Desk.

Telephone service to all locations in Guild Hall is currently unavailable due to equipment failure. LITS is currently working to assess the issue and find a replacement for the equipment. Financial Edge Unavailable, April 22, 3pm – 5pm

Financial Edge will be unavailable this Friday, April 22, from 3pm – 5pm. During this time, LITS will be performing necessary maintenance. Please plan to log out of Financial Edge by 3pm on Friday.

VPN Outage TONIGHT (4/8) from 10pm – midnight

In order to address an underlying server issue, LITS will be doing emergency maintenance on our VPN this evening (April 8th) from 10pm – midnight. During this time, community members will be unable to access their home directories and network file shares from off-campus. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.

Once the maintenance is complete, community members will be prompted to upgrade their clients before using the Pulse Secure client. For assistance with this, or if you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact the Help Desk at 610-526-7440 or help@brynmawr.edu.

RESOLVED: Community Members Unable to Login to Some Bryn Mawr Services

Update, 9:40pm: Community members should now be able to log in to all services. Thank you for your patience while we resolved the issue.

Starting this evening (April 2), community members are unable to log in to some Bryn Mawr services, including EZBorrow, eMarket, Parchment, Domain of One’s Own, and Trilandora. Emergency Maintenance on Moodle – Tuesday, Mar 22

LITS will be performing emergency maintenance on Moodle at 8 PM on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. The upgrade will address security vulnerabilities. The upgrade should last less than 10 minutes, and people who are already logged in should experience minimal disruption during that time.

RESOLVED: Intermittent Issues with On-Campus Phone Calls

Update, 3/1: Our vendor reports that all issues should now be resolved and that phone connections should be back to normal. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Help Desk with any further issues or questions.


Some community members have reported having trouble while making and receiving calls to their College phones. While all calls appear to be going through, some people report experiencing clicking noises or choppy or garbled phone connections. LITS is actively working with our telephone vendors on the issue, but there is currently no ETA for a fix. Thank you for your patience while we work through this issue.
